Duties
- Perform a variety of massage techniques including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and relaxation massage tailored to individual client needs
- Conduct patient assessments to understand symptoms, medical history, and specific areas requiring attention
- Develop customized treatment plans that incorporate pain management strategies and physiologically informed approaches
- Maintain detailed records of client treatments, progress, and any relevant medical terminology or physiological observations
- Educate clients on self-care practices and occupational health tips to support ongoing wellness
- Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by adhering to sanitation standards and professional protocols
- Provide excellent customer service by listening attentively, addressing client concerns, and fostering a relaxing atmosphere
Requirements
- Valid license or certification as a massage therapist in accordance with state or local regulations
- Proven experience with patient service, patient assessment, and various massage techniques such as deep tissue and trigger point therapy
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy
- Familiarity with pain management strategies and occupational health principles
- Previous experience working in a med spa or similar wellness setting is preferred
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service and client satisfaction
- Ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail
