Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides to provide high-quality care to clients in their homes. This role involves assisting individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care, home health, or long-term care environments, with a strong focus on patient-centered support. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor and observe patient conditions, reporting changes or concerns promptly
- Administer medications and manage medical documentation accurately in EMR/EHR systems
- Perform vital signs checks and assist with catheter care, wound care, and other medical tasks as trained
- Support patients with memory care needs such as Alzheimer's and dementia care
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed
- Light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment
- Use equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely for patient transfers
- Document all care activities in compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy standards
Skills
- Proven experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities in home or community settings
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medical documentation procedures
- Certification in CPR and first aid required; additional certifications such as hospice or dementia care are a plus
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate record keeping
- Ability to work independently while following care plans closely
- Excellent communication skills for interacting effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Compassionate caregiving attitude with patience and empathy
- Ability to handle sensitive information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Experience working with assisted living facilities or nursing homes is advantageous
- Physical stamina for assisting patients with mobility and performing light housekeeping tasks
Qualifications
- HHA or PCA Certification
- 1 Year experience in caregiving
