Job Summary
Join our dynamic retail team as a Retail Sales Associate in Lenexa! Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs, ensuring a positive experience from start to finish
- Operate the Square POS system efficiently for sales transactions, cash handling, and receipts
- Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement and upselling opportunities
- Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked with current products
- Assist with inventory management by stocking shelves, organizing stock rooms, and conducting regular stock checks
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions, offering product recommendations, and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Use effective phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support team supervision by guiding new associates and maintaining a collaborative environment
Qualifications
- Prior retail sales or grocery store experience preferred; familiarity with merchandising and stock management is a plus
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers; bilingual abilities are advantageous
- Experience using POS systems for sales processing and cash handling
- Demonstrated ability to upsell products confidently while maintaining excellent customer service standards
- Basic math skills for cash register operations and retail math calculations
- Knowledge of phone etiquette and professional communication practices
- Supervising experience is beneficial but not required; leadership qualities are appreciated for growth potential
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work flexible hours as needed
