Job description:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Workers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of care. The ideal candidate will have experience in memory care, home care, or assisted living environments. This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients through personalized care plans and daily assistance.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Implement and follow individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and nurturing environment.
- Monitor clients' health and report any changes or concerns to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed while ensuring their safety during transport.
- Support clients with memory care activities that promote cognitive engagement and well-being.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients, adhering to hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with family members and healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care for each client.
Requirements
- Previous experience in direct care roles such as home care, assisted living, hospice care, or childcare is preferred.
- Knowledge of memory care techniques and the ability to implement effective care plans is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to caregiving.
- Ability to drive and possess a valid driver's license is required for transporting clients or running errands.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Must be able to pass background checks and any required training certifications related to caregiving.
