Responsibilities
- Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques, ensuring freight is secured properly for transport.
- Transport a variety of freight including freight such as : pipe, lumber, steel.
- Use GPS navigation systems to plan optimal routes, monitor traffic conditions, and ensure timely deliveries.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the tractor-trailer to verify safety standards are met.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, especially with flatbed trailers or tractor-trailers.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety procedures.
- Skilled in truck loading and unloading, including manual handling of logistics cargo handling tasks.
- Strong navigation skills using GPS systems for route planning and real-time adjustments.
- Excellent driving record demonstrating safe driving habits on long-distance routes.
Pay: $1,400.00 - $2,000.00 per week
