We are seeking a skilled and reliable Skid Steer Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating skid steers and other heavy machinery, demonstrating a strong mechanical aptitude. As a Skid Steer Operator, you will play a crucial role in various construction projects, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Operate skid steers and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently on job sites.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in the preparation of sites for construction including grading and paving.
- Collaborate with team members to execute project plans and meet deadlines.
- Transport materials using trailers as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Report any mechanical issues or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
Skills
- Proficient in heavy equipment operation, particularly skid steers.
- Experience with excavator operation is highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Familiarity with grading techniques and clearing.
- Experience with reading site plans and shooting elevations with laser.
- Ability to operate machinery effectively
- Commercial driving experience is beneficial for transporting materials.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
