Duties
- Welcome guests with a friendly attitude and manage waitlist or reservations efficiently using POS systems like Toast or Aloha.
- Clear and reset tables promptly, ensuring cleanliness and organization to uphold high standards of food safety and hygiene.
- Assist servers by bussing tables, refilling beverages, and delivering food orders swiftly to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Support food preparation tasks such as assembling dishes or garnishing plates when needed, maintaining kitchen safety protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness in dining areas, restrooms, and service stations through regular cleaning routines.
- Handle guest inquiries courteously via phone or in person, providing accurate information about menu items or wait times.
- Support catering or banquet events by setting up tables, serving meals, and ensuring guest comfort throughout the event.
Requirements
- Previous experience in host/hostess roles, food service, or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and POS operations like Toast or Aloha systems.
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and proper sanitation procedures.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, move quickly between tasks, and lift moderate loads such as trays or boxes.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly phone etiquette and guest service orientation.
- Experience with beverage preparation or catering services enhances your ability to support diverse restaurant needs.
- Must have Utah Food Handler Certificate.
