Job Summary: This position is responsible for supervising the plant movement in and out of the shipping dock market while ensuring accuracy and quality of plant material.
Job Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain the layout of the shipping dock market.
- Communicate daily with the Order Pull Supervisor and Inventory Assistant on the location of the plants being pulled according to the Pull Sheets.
- Oversee the unloading of racks from the tractors and ensure plants pulled and received are correctly placed in the market.
- Assess moisture of plants throughout the day and ensure they are being watered when needed.
- Manage the bag process to include receiving bags from the tag room, update of flow vision board, and handing bags to pickers.
- Supervise staff and provide consistent feedback to the team - praise and corrective measures in a timely manner.
- May perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications:
- Plant knowledge for plant quality and watering.
- Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
- Forklift experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Work Environment:
- Outside/Shipping Dock – exposed to very cold and very hot temperatures.
