Nurse Manager- Inpatient Psychiatric Unit
Horizon Health is seeking a Nurse Manager to join our team at Abbeville General Hospital in Abbeville, LA. This is a 16 bed inpatient psychiatric unit treating ages 18+. The Nurse Manager plans, implements, and evaluates delivery of overall nursing care to patients. He/she provides managerial support in conjunction with the clinical leadership by providing supervision and evaluation of all nursing and patient care personnel. He/she contributes to the facility through commitment to nursing goals, the supervision of clinical staff, participation on the treatment team(s).

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing required, Master's degree preferred

5-8 years of nursing experience in behavioral health

Active state RN license reqquired

CPR, BLS and ACLS required

Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, in-service meetings and workshops. Keeps up to date on professional literature

Maintain effectiveness and certification in required patient management protocols.

Completes and maintains all required state/regulatory, Hospital and Horizon competencies and training/education expectations on a timely basis.

Is knowledgeable of hospital and departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement program, safety, environmental and infection control standards

Develops basic knowledge of Hospital and Horizon senior staff and organizational structure
