American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position at a large, fully-accredited hospital in Overland Park, KS, requiring a minimum of 2 years of OR experience and a KS or compact RN license.

Work in the Operating Room (Perioperative unit) of a 343-bed acute care hospital
-
Broad surgical case mix including abdominal, cardiovascular, colorectal, dental, ENT, GI, gynecological, joint replacement, maternal-fetal, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, oral/maxillofacial, orthopedic/sports medicine, pediatrics, plastic and reconstructive, robotics, spine, thoracic, trauma, urological, and vascular procedures

1:1 patient ratio

Charting via Meditech

Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, Sunday/Monday/Tuesday

Set schedule with no floating required

Hospital-laundered scrubs provided by the department

Active KS or compact RN license required

Minimum 2 years of recent OR/perioperative nursing experience required

Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)

US SSN and date of birth required for consideration

One professional reference required (two required for candidates from Florida or Missouri)

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Surgical/procedural experience preferred but not required

The facility is Johnson County's only American College of Surgeons-verified trauma center, equipped to treat life-threatening injuries 24/7
