Job Summary
This role is essential in ensuring our precast products consistently meet industry standards, project specifications, and customer requirements.
- Conduct daily inspections of precast concrete units for dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and overall quality.
- Perform concrete and material testing in compliance with ACI, ASTM, PCI, and DOT standards.
- Monitor batching, mix design accuracy, slump, air content, temperature, and unit weights.
- Maintain complete and accurate test results, reports, and quality records.
- Identify and communicate nonconformance issues to production staff; assist in corrective actions.
- Ensure proper curing, handling, and storage of precast elements.
- Support external audits and inspections (PCI, DOT, customer representatives).
- Maintain calibration and care of testing equipment.
- Promote and enforce safe work practices throughout the plant.
- Assist with moving and staging steel, concrete, aggregate and other construction materials
- Continuously learn the new products being produced and transported throughout the facilities
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow safety protocols and company procedures at all times
Qualifications
- Mastery of tape measurements and blueprint reading.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Continued education preferred.
- Excellent detail orientation and communication skills to promote accountability for quality standards.
