Job Overview
Pop-A-Lock is looking for a Locksmith Technician to join our team. This is a mobile position helping customers with vehicle lockouts, lost keys, key duplication, and programming services.
We are looking for someone who works well independently, communicates professionally with customers, and takes pride in providing quality service. Automotive locksmith experience is preferred; however, we may consider candidates with strong automotive, mechanical, or technical experience.
Responsibilities
- Originate, duplicate, cut, and program automotive keys and remotes
- Perform vehicle lockout services without damaging the customer’s vehicle
- Diagnose automotive key, remote, ignition, and immobilizer issues
- Use key-cutting machines, programmers, and locksmith tools properly
- Travel to customers in a company service vehicle
- Communicate estimated arrival times, services, and pricing clearly
- Collect and accurately record customer payments
- Complete service tickets and required job documentation
- Maintain assigned tools, equipment, inventory, and service vehicle
- Follow company safety procedures and customer-verification policies
- Participate in an on-call schedule, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays
Qualifications
- Automotive locksmith experience is preferred
- Automotive repair, electrical, mechanical, or technical experience is a plus
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Comfortable using smartphones, mobile apps, and electronic equipment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Professional appearance and good customer-service skills
- Able to pass applicable background and driving-record checks
- Able to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions
- Able to lift and carry tools and equipment as needed

Pay: $600.00 - $1,200.00 per week
