Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day workflow of litigation support staff, providing guidance on case priorities, task assignments, deadlines, and complex litigation matters
- Support attorneys throughout the litigation lifecycle by managing case organization, discovery, pleadings, calendaring, correspondence, and other time-sensitive litigation tasks
- Assist with trial preparation by organizing exhibits, evidence, witness materials, trial documents, timelines, and other materials required for trial readiness
- Review case files and litigation tasks for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness while identifying missing information, outstanding items, and potential issues
- Train and mentor litigation support staff while helping develop and improve standardized litigation processes, workflows, and best practices
- Communicate regularly with attorneys and leadership regarding case status, team workload, workflow concerns, and areas requiring attention
- Take ownership of complex or time-sensitive litigation tasks and step in to support the team when additional coverage is needed
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal or in a comparable litigation support role
- Strong understanding of the litigation lifecycle and experience supporting cases from filing through settlement, trial, or resolution
- Experience with discovery, litigation deadlines, case documentation, and trial preparation
- Plaintiff personal injury experience is strongly preferred
- Prior experience training, mentoring, leading, or overseeing legal support staff is preferred
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and competing priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies, missing information, and potential issues within case files
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, take initiative, and work independently while knowing when to escalate matters to attorneys or leadership
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, in-person legal environment
Requirements:
- Availability to work in Pacific Time (Los Angeles, California time)
Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
