Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Class B Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic construction team. Duties
- Safely operate a Class B dump truck to deliver construction materials to various job sites, ensuring compliance with all federal and local safety regulations.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of the dump truck and other construction machinery, including loaders, excavators, dozers, and water trucks, to guarantee optimal performance and safety.
- Assist with construction utility work such as utility locating, excavation support, and site grading activities as needed.
- Coordinate with site supervisors and other equipment operators to plan efficient routes and schedules for material deliveries.
- Follow all equipment safety procedures and construction site safety regulations to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, inspections, and maintenance activities for record-keeping and compliance purposes.
- Support other heavy equipment operations like backhoe, grader, or horizontal drilling tasks when required on the project site.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on construction environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and maintaining dump trucks and related heavy equipment.
- Familiarity with construction machinery such as loaders, excavators (including Caterpillar models), dozers, graders, water trucks, tankers, and horizontal drilling equipment.
- Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
- Ability to perform construction utility work including utility locating, excavation support, grading, paving, and site preparation.
- Skilled in heavy equipment operation including backhoe, loader operation, grader operation, dozer use, and excavator handling.
- Excellent understanding of construction site protocols and experience working in active construction zones.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members and adhering to project timelines.
