POSITION SUMMARY: The Teller is responsible for providing exceptional member service while accurately processing financial transactions, maintaining compliance with credit union policies and regulatory requirements, and supporting daily branch operations. The Teller serves as a primary point of contact for members and helps ensure a positive member experience through professional, efficient, and secure transaction processing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Member Transactions
- Process member deposits accurately and efficiently.
- Apply deposit holds in accordance with credit union policies and procedures.
- Operate within a $500 transaction limit during the probationary period.
- Operate within a $750 transaction limit after successful completion of probation.
- Process member withdrawals while verifying account ownership and available funds.
- Complete account-to-account and member-requested transfers.
- Scan and balance checks using the credit union's check imaging system.
- Post incoming mail deposits, mailed checks, and One Stop checks to appropriate member accounts.
- Maintain and balance a teller cash drawer/cash can with a cash limit of $5,000.
- Accurately count, verify, and secure cash transactions.
- Perform Level 0 override transactions within authorized limits.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Adhere to all Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and credit union regulatory requirements.
- Identify and report unusual or suspicious account activity according to established procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of member information and account records.
- Follow all security, fraud prevention, and cash-handling procedures.
Member Service
- Read and explain member disclosure forms and required account documentation.
- Answer members’ questions regarding account services, policies, and procedures.
- Deliver courteous, professional, and member-focused service during all interactions.
- Resolve routine member concerns and escalate complex issues to appropriate personnel.
Payment Processing
- Process credit card payments through Quick Assist and other approved payment systems.
- Ensure all payments are posted accurately and timely.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Assist with branch opening and closing procedures.
· Maintain accurate transaction records and complete required documentation.
· Support team members with operational tasks and member service needs.
· Participate in required training, compliance reviews, and staff meetings.
· Cross-sell and educate members on available credit union products and services when appropriate.
· Assist with balancing branch operations and identifying transaction discrepancies.
· Maintain a professional appearance and represent the credit union positively within the community.
· Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
