Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our service team. Take service calls for HVAC and Plumbing Service Department, route technicians and track a service call from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, carriers, and internal teams via multi-line phone systems and email, ensuring professional phone etiquette and clear communication.
- ○ Take service calls
- ○ Keep customers updated throughout the process of their repair
- ○ Communicate effectively with service technicians and service department managers
- Manage dispatching
- ○ Route service calls based on importance and location
- Track location and status of technicians
- ○ Utilize GIS, GPS and transportation management systems for routing options, improved logistics and efficiency of technicians
- ○ Analysis of data to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
- Service Ticket Management and Billing
- ○ Verify correct data entry of technicians on service tickets
- ○ Bill out service technicians tickets
- ○ Review open ticket reports for accuracy of closing tickets by technicians
- Purchasing
- ○ Purchase Parts for the technicians or assist in logistics as needed
- ○ Track parts and deliveries
Physical Requirements and Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in transportation management
- Familiarity with GIS, GPS technology, and transportation planning tools.
- Experience with logistics operations including dispatching, freight handling, shipping & receiving,
- and fleet management.
- Excellent analysis skills for evaluating transportation data to inform decision-making.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems professionally.
- Proficient typing skills for efficient data entry and documentation accuracy.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new software platforms.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. - Familiarity with QuickBooks and/or Service Titan a plus.
Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
