About the Role
Primo Carpentry is looking for a motivated Estimator to join our team. This is a huge opportunity for someone who wants real ownership, direct impact on the work we win, and room to grow with a company that's expanding. You'll be producing multiple takeoffs per week across general construction projects, with a heavy focus on interior finishes.

What You'll Do
- Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs for multiple projects each week
- Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work
- Build complete bid packages for general construction projects, primarily interior finishes (carpentry, millwork, drywall, trim, doors/hardware, and related trades)
- Solicit and evaluate pricing from suppliers and subcontractors
- Review bid documents, addenda, and RFIs, and flag scope gaps or discrepancies
- Track bid due dates and keep the estimating calendar current
- Handle general administrative work tied to the estimating and bidding process — proposal formatting, document control, bid logs, and follow-up
- Coordinate with project managers and field staff to keep estimates grounded in real-world production rates
What We're Looking For
Required
- Prior estimating experience in construction
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Comfortable producing multiple takeoffs per week in a fast-paced environment
- Highly motivated, proactive self-starter who takes initiative without being asked
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Willingness to take on administrative responsibilities as part of the role
- High school diploma or an estimating certification
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree (Construction Management, Engineering, or related field)
- Experience with interior finishes and general construction scopes
- Familiarity with digital takeoff and estimating software
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
