We are seeking a motivated and experienced Production Lead to support daily operations in our high-volume commercial bread facility. This role is a hands-on leadership position responsible for coordinating production activities, ensuring food safety and quality standards, and supporting the Supervisor with workforce management, throughput, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is safety-driven, process-focused, and skilled at leading teams on the floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support hourly production employees to meet daily production, safety, quality, and efficiency targets
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, GMP, and sanitation standards
- Monitor production flow across mixing, makeup, proofing, baking, cooling, slicing, and packaging
- Troubleshoot minor mechanical or process issues and coordinate with maintenance as needed
- Verify production paperwork, lot tracking, and quality checks are completed accurately
- Train new employees and reinforce standardized work and operating procedures
- Enforce attendance, break schedules, and work rules in alignment with company policy
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to waste reduction, labor efficiency, and uptime
- Communicate effectively across shifts to ensure smooth handoffs and continuity of operations
- Serve as acting Supervisor when needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required (Associate degree or technical training preferred)
- Prior lead or supervisory experience strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, and food safety compliance
- Ability to lead, coach, and hold others accountable
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment
- Proficiency with basic computer systems and production reporting tools
- Proficiency with basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide
- Ability to work assigned shift, weekends, and overtime as needed
- English - Spanish bilingual
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Lifting up to 50 lbs
- Exposure to heat, moving equipment, flour dust, and a manufacturing environment
- Use of required PPE

Pay: $27.54 - $29.00 per hour
