Summary
Must be able to consistently operate in the kitchen at an exceptionally high level and prepare, produce and present all menu items.
Position Responsibilities/Functions
The responsibilities of this position will include, but is not limited to:
- Prepare menu items and necessary ingredients according to prescribed recipes.
- Follow all prescribed portioning controls and maintain food safety and quality standards.
- Communicate any food delays or issues to Kitchen Lead.
- Perform line checks to ensure quality of all menu items.
- Assure and maintain food quality standards including consistency and presentation.
- Understand and adhere to sanitation/safety guidelines, including proper hand washing procedures.
- Become proficient in the safe use of all kitchen equipment and utensils.
- Ensure all areas related to the kitchen are clean before, during, and after every shift.
- Complete all assigned tasks during designated shifts.
- Wash dishes, sweep, and mop efficiently
Role Requirements
- Be able to work a variety of hours, days and shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Get along with others and be a team player.
- Ability to stay positive during high-stress moments.
- Ability to perform more than one task at a time.
- Position requires prolonged standing, bending, and lifting products and supplies weighing up to 40 pounds, and repetitive hand and wrist motion.
- Safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and equipment.
- Up to date and relevant licenses (ie. ServSafe, Basset).
- Wash dishes cleanly and up to health standards
Qualifications
- Experience in food service industry.
Hours Expatiation
- 18-25 hours can be expected on a weekly basis (Tuesday-Sunday)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
