Project Manager, Commercial Office Furniture
Position Summary:
This position serves as the primary point of contact for clients and coordinates all order-related work, including project management, design, and order administration with in-house services and furniture vendors. The ideal candidate will use their experience and time productively. Although the role is performed largely in-house, it requires reimbursable car travel to meet with existing and prospective clients and supervise installations in the Washington-Baltimore metropolitan area.
Responsibilities:
· Meet with clients to develop furniture plans and finish selections that meet or exceed their requirements and budget.
· Prepare orders that align with furniture plans and design specifications, coordinating with in-house services and vendor partners.
· Process orders as specified and coordinate delivery and installation schedules.
· Provide on-site support during installation.
· Resolve punch list items quickly and efficiently.
· Establish and maintain positive, supportive client relationships, and develop new relationships through successful projects.
· Perform administrative tasks related to these responsibilities.
Qualifications and Skills:
· A pleasant, confident attitude and the ability to work constructively with clients in diverse roles, as well as in-house and vendor staff.
· Design experience sufficient to help clients select appropriate finish options.
· Experience using AutoCAD to create furniture plans.
· Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and common computer applications.
· A thorough understanding of planning principles for commercial systems and modular office furnishing projects.
· Knowledge of major office furniture lines and the components needed to specify appropriate products for each project.
· Problem-solving skills for planning, ordering, and installing projects of varying sizes.
· The ability to learn new skills and build on prior experience.
· A proactive approach to developing new business opportunities.
Compensation:
Annual salary of $75K.
