Morning Star Fields is seeking a reliable and hands-on Egg Processing House Technician to join our farm operations team. This position is responsible for supporting and overseeing daily egg processing operations, including egg washing, packing, equipment monitoring, sanitation, and general maintenance support within the egg processing facility.
The ideal candidate is dependable, mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment. This role requires basic competency in mechanical systems, electricity, and plumbing, along with a strong commitment to cleanliness, food safety, and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and assist with daily egg washing and packing operations.
- Operate, monitor, and help maintain egg processing equipment.
- Inspect eggs, packaging, and production areas for quality, cleanliness, and accuracy.
- Troubleshoot basic equipment, mechanical, electrical, or plumbing issues as needed.
- Report equipment malfunctions, maintenance needs, product concerns, or safety hazards to management immediately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary processing area at all times.
- Follow all company procedures related to food safety, animal welfare, biosecurity, and workplace safety.
- Assist with loading, moving, and organizing egg flats, boxes, pallets, and supplies.
- Work as part of a team to meet daily production goals.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in egg processing, food production, farm operations, warehouse, or equipment maintenance preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude and basic competency in electricity and plumbing required.
- Ability to operate and monitor processing equipment safely.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
- Must be punctual, reliable, and able to follow instructions.
- Must be comfortable working in a production and farm environment.
- Weekend or holiday availability may be required based on production needs.
