Description: Dance instructors provide a structured class teaching students in variety of dances such as hip-hop, ballet, tap, jazz, hula, and break dancing.

Dance instructors teach children ranging in age from 3 to 17 years old the basics of dance techniques and routines.

Dance instructors create lesson plans for each class and choreograph routines for performances and events.

Dance instructors coordinate the registration of participants.

All sports instructors assist in the success of all sports program duties such as fundraising, special events, and marketing.
- All sports instructors ensure the safety of all program participants.
- Hours: Part-time, non-exempt

Must be available from Monday to Friday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Saturday from 9:00am to 1:00pm, and Sunday from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm

Wage: $16.90 per hour

Worksite: Anaheim Downtown Youth Center, Anaheim Downtown Community Center, West Anaheim Youth Center, and Anaheim Family YMCA Administration Office

Qualifications: Dance instructors must be at least 16 years of age and have a valid work permit if they are under the age of 18.
- Qualified applicants have experience working with children (paid or volunteer), but it is not required.

All potential employees must submit to and comply with all requirements for employment including, but not limited to, a criminal background check, drug and alcohol testing, health screening, and tuberculosis test.

Employees must be CPR/first aid certified within the first 30 days of employment and kept current for condition of continued employment. The Anaheim Family YMCA periodically provides CPR/first aid training to staff who need certification.
