Maintenance Inspector – Full-Time Opportunity

Bay Property Management Group is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Maintenance Inspector to support our growing team. This full-time role is responsible for conducting property inspections, documenting property conditions, and capturing high-quality photos for new business opportunities.
This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in property management, maintenance, construction, customer service, or field inspections who enjoys working independently, staying active, and interacting professionally with homeowners and residents.
Position Overview
As a Maintenance Inspector, you will work closely with our Director of Business Development and serve as a professional first point of contact when visiting properties. This is a client-facing role focused on inspections and documentation — no sales responsibilities involved.
The position requires daily travel throughout our service area, completing property inspections and creating detailed reports using mobile technology.
Responsibilities
- Perform approximately 7 property inspections per day, typically grouped within the same geographic area
- Pick up keys from the office and travel to assigned properties
- Complete thorough property inspections and document conditions
- Take clear, professional photos using a smartphone
- Upload inspection reports and photos into AppFolio (AF)
- Communicate with the team through email and Microsoft Teams
- Provide a professional and positive experience when visiting occupied homes
- Work independently while maintaining accuracy and quality standards
Schedule & Compensation
- Full-Time: 40 hours per week
- Consistent schedule: 8-hour workdays
- Pay: $25.00/hour
- Gas expenses and EZPass tolls covered by BMG while performing job duties
Qualifications
- Strong customer service skills and a professional, friendly attitude
- Comfortable using smartphones, apps, and computer systems
- Reliable, organized, and able to manage a daily schedule independently
- Previous experience in property management, maintenance, construction, handyman work, labor, inspections, or customer service preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to navigate online systems and software platforms
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Reliable personal vehicle required
- Smartphone no older than 3 years with the ability to capture clear, high-quality photos
