Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live In Home Caregiver/Residential Care Aide (RCA) to provide exceptional in-home care and support to seniors in a 6-bed assisted living facility. In this vital role, you will live onsite with residents, delivering personalized assistance that promotes independence, safety, and well-being. Duties
- Provide comprehensive assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support etc
- Monitor and observe patients’ health status, recording vital signs and noting changes in condition
- Assist with medication administration following prescribed medical protocols and maintaining accurate medical documentation
- Support clients with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, or memory care needs through specialized techniques and compassionate engagement
- Operate Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to document care activities accurately
- Utilize medical terminology appropriately when recording patient information or communicating with healthcare professionals
- Use assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs safely to ensure client mobility and prevent injury
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and ensuring a safe living environment
- Maintain HIPAA compliance by safeguarding patient confidentiality at all times
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care plans
- Strong residents observation skills to detect changes in health status promptly
- Experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation of care activities
- Knowledge of caring for seniors with disabilities of any kind
- Expertise in dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, and hospice support techniques
- Ability to perform CPR and handle emergency situations confidently and calmly
- Excellent communication skills for working effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
- Compassionate caregiving attitude combined with patience and resilience in challenging situations
- Ability to work independently as a live-in caregiver/aide while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism
