Essential Responsibilities under the direct guidance and supervision of the Director of Human Resources. The Human Resource Assistant provides administrative support and human resource compliance assistance. Assist with recruiting efforts and onboarding of new hires. Support the Director of Human Resources during open enrollment and the implementation of the organizations’ staff wellness plan. Assist in the monitoring of the staff safety training Learning Management System. Assist in carrying out all company and regulatory compliance requirements. Able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality to all privileged information.
Primary Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Assist in ensuring all new employees are on-boarded efficiently and thoroughly by organizing new employee orientation and ensuring all paperwork is accurate and complete.
Assist in conducting employee verifications and other background and reference checks.
Assist and gathering new employee hire documentation to ensure compliance with program hiring requirements.
Ensure confidentiality of employee personally identifying and medical information to ensure employee rights are protected at all times.
Assist in the maintenance and tracking of the staff safety training system.
Assist with recruiting efforts including attending job fairs, resume screening, scheduling of interviews, and participation on interview panels when needed.
Review employee handbooks with staff to correctly answer questions related to benefits and employment.
Assist in creating reports, forms, and correspondence.
Assists in maintaining and updating organization databases.
Keeps all Human Resource information confidential at all times.
Communicates timely and effectively with all candidates.
Assist with the preparation and maintenance of the organizations’ policies and procedures.
Assist in conducting employee wellness presentations.
Assist in reviewing and updating benefit information for the staff benefit and wellness handbooks.
Ability to handle sensitive situations with objectivity and professionalism.
Ability to listen and communicate effectively through oral and written means
Maintain updated department forms.
Provide general administrative and clerical support including mailing, filing, scanning, and faxing.
Assist in organizing, maintaining, and monitoring accident/incident activities and records.
Assist in preparing new orientation hire packets with most current organization benefit and employee information.
Perform data entry and create spreadsheets.
Prepare and modify documents including correspondence, reports, drafts, memos, and emails.
Assist with hiring events (virtual and off-site).
Assist in performing compliance audits as directed by the Director of Human Resources. Follows all rules and procedures to safely secure and maintain the confidentiality of employee information and records.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience Minimum Requirements
Minimum education required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 1 years of administrative experience, or a combination of education and experience.
Other Requirements
Must be a United States Citizen or eligible to work in the United States.
Maintains a valid driver’s license, insurance registration, and good driving record.
Maintains reliable personal transportation.
A preliminary background and credit check, along with employment, education, and reference checks are required for employment and will be made prior to any offer of employment.
Maintain a satisfactory outcome to a criminal background check, and DPS Child Abuse Registry check.
Possesses or acquires, and maintains an Arizona Department of Public Safety Level One Fingerprint Clearance.
Provides approved documentation of a negative result for a tuberculin (TB) skin test or chest x-ray.
Provides shot record with proof of MMR/TDAP Professional and Personal References required
Meets employment requirements including physical examination at hire (and every three years thereafter).
Possesses or completes verified training in First Aid and CPR (within ninety (90) days of hire) and remains current in the certification.
Proof of educational achievement required.
Must be able to lift 30lbs.
