K-Neurology Clinic, P.A. is seeking a motivated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing outpatient neurology practice on a part-time basis.
New graduates are encouraged to apply. Neurology experience is not required. We are looking for a provider who is eager to learn, works well as part of a team, and is interested in developing their skills in neurological care with physician support and training.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage adult neurology patients
- Obtain comprehensive medical histories and perform physical and neurological examinations
- Develop treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising physician
- Order and review laboratory testing, imaging, EEGs, and other diagnostic studies
- Manage medications and prescription refills
- Provide patient and family education regarding neurological conditions and treatment plans
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Review patient messages, results, and clinical concerns
- Coordinate care with specialists, primary care providers, pharmacies, and other members of the healthcare team
- Provide follow-up care for patients with acute and chronic neurological conditions
Our practice treats a broad range of neurological conditions, including epilepsy and seizures, migraines and headaches, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease and dementia, stroke, myasthenia gravis, and other general neurological disorders.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Current or eligible for Texas NP/APRN or PA licensure
- Appropriate national board certification
- Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain
- Strong communication and clinical documentation skills
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
- Ability to work collaboratively with the neurologist and clinical team
- Neurology experience preferred but not required
- New graduate NPs and PAs are welcome to apply
- Bilingual English/Spanish
