Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of residential spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping floors, and surface sanitation to uphold cleanliness standards.
- Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures using appropriate cleaning detergents and equipment to ensure hygienic living conditions.
- Manage laundry tasks such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing clothing and linens efficiently.
- Maintain floor care by sweeping, mopping, polishing, and using specialized equipment for deep cleaning when necessary.
- Handle manual tasks including heavy lifting of furniture or supplies safely while following proper handling protocols.
- Clean outdoor areas as needed, including patios or porches, ensuring the exterior of the home is tidy and inviting.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand specific cleaning preferences and provide excellent customer service throughout each visit.
- Use time management skills to prioritize tasks and complete cleaning assignments within scheduled timeframes.
- Ensure all surfaces are cleaned thoroughly, including kitchens, bathrooms, windowsills, and appliances.
- Follow janitorial best practices for custodial work, maintaining the integrity of cleaning equipment and supplies for optimal performance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in residential cleaning or housekeeping roles with a strong understanding of cleaning procedures and sanitation standards.
- Knowledge of cleaning surfaces, floor care techniques, and proper use of cleaning detergents and equipment.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and outdoor work when required.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients about their needs.
- Strong organizational skills with effective time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Experience in laundry management and outdoor cleaning is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with janitorial or custodial practices enhances your suitability for this role.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the day.
