The Direct Service Professional will provide direct assistance and supervision to adults living with physical and intellectual disabilities in the home or community settings. The primary responsibilities include the provision of a safe environment and meet the emotional and personal needs of the participant. The Direct Service professional should have knowledge of mental health diagnosis, therapeutic relationship processes and individualized support plans. The Direct Service professional will promote the participants freedom of choice, rights, independence and help them build personal and community living skills.
