The Loan Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting Austin Habitat for Humanity’s affordable housing programs by managing the end-to-end loan process for qualified clients. This position ensures accuracy, compliance, and timely execution of all loan-related activities, while maintaining a high standard of client service.
Key responsibilities include:

Application Review & Verification – Evaluate program applications and supporting documentation, perform income and credit verifications, and confirm eligibility in accordance with organizational and regulatory guidelines.

Loan Processing & Documentation – Prepare, track, and maintain all loan files, ensuring completeness and accuracy of property records, disclosures, and closing documents.

Compliance & Reporting – Monitor adherence to mortgage lending laws, affordable housing regulations, and internal policies; update data systems and generate reports as needed for audits and funding requirements.

Closing Coordination – Schedule and facilitate loan closings, communicate with lenders, title companies, and internal stakeholders, and deliver final documentation to all parties.

Post-Closing Support – Assist with warranty requests, loan servicing setup, and client inquiries to ensure a smooth transition to homeownership.

Collaboration & Client Communication – Work closely with the Affordable Housing Manager and Client Services team to provide clear, timely updates to homeowners and maintain positive relationships throughout the process.
