REQUIREMENTS:
· FAMILY LAW: ($150/hr - 5-10 hr/week)
o Minimum of 3 years’ family law experience; strong knowledge of Texas family law procedures and court rules; trial experience is . Must be able to take lead attorney role in contested and uncontested divorce cases, custody disputes, and other types of family law cases.
· ESTATE PLANNING & PROBATE: ($150-$200/hr – 5-10 hr/week)
o Minimum of 3 years’ estate planning experience; strong knowledge of Texas trusts and estates law. Must have excellent estate plan drafting skills – especially trusts.
o We are not looking for “casual” estate planning attorneys. The successful candidate will have drafted many estate plans. On average, the successful candidate will have done 2-10 estate plans PER MONTH for the last year or so.
o Probate experience: we are looking for attorneys who do both estate planning and administration.
o Candidate should also be a notary or willing to become a notary soon after onboarding.
o Candidate will likely have the opportunity to do estate plans for clients in other areas of Texas.
o Estate planners must be able to meet with clients in-person for will signings.
o Probate experience is included in this requirement because we are looking for estate planning attorneys who can also practice estate administration. A candidate who is an estate planner and does not have sufficient probate experience may still be considered for estate planning; however, those estate planners who can also do probate are preferred.
· CRIMINAL LAW: ($150/hr - 5-10 hr/week)
o Minimum of 3 years’ criminal law experience; strong knowledge of Texas criminal law procedures and court rules. Must have solid trial experience and verdict record.
· IMMIGRATION: ($150/hr - 5-10 hr/week)
o Minimum of 3 years immigration law experience; strong knowledge of immigration law procedures and court rules; individual/family-based and employment-based immigration.
o Candidate must be able to provide deportation defense.
o Fluency in English and Spanish is desired but not required.
· EDUCATION LAW: ($150/hr - 5-10 hr/week)
o Minimum of 3 years’ education law experience; strong knowledge of Texas Education Code that would allow you to support students and parents including Chapter 37 student discipline issues, Section 504 matters, and Special Education (IDEA) matters. Must have excellent interpersonal skills to work with parents, students, and school personnel/school attorneys.
o Experience and knowledge of 1st Amendment and 4th Amendment law in the school context is preferred.
o The successful candidate will have represented students and parents in grievances, discipline matters, Section 504 matters, and/or Special Education matters.

· Texas-licensed attorney in good standing with NO disciplinary history in ANY state. (We will check.)
· All positions are Lead Attorney positions: must be a self-starter who can run all aspects of their cases.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Must be very responsive and empathetic to clients.
· Detail-oriented with very strong organizational skills.
· Candidate located (resides) within reasonable travel distance of the cities listed for the practice area, and, be able to meet with clients in the respective area if needed. If the candidate has an office in their area and can meet with clients there, if needed, this will be considered a strong bonus if all other criteria are met.
· Candidates who are bilingual in English and Spanish are desired but not required.
Duties:
· The successful candidate will possess the skills and desire to run all aspects of their cases and handle a wide variety of matters for a diverse population of clients within their practice area.
· No minimum billed-hours requirement.
· Must be able to work remotely.
· Knowledge of Clio legal software a plus.
· Additional practice areas may be available for work.

Job Type – Part Time/Contract

· Must be relocated prior to starting work (Required)

Pay: $150.00 per hour
