Overview
Join our dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! In this role, you will utilize your expertise to provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, educate patients on maintaining optimal oral health, and support a welcoming, professional environment. We can offer part-time (3 days a week) or can discuss full-time (considered 4 days a week).
Duties
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and evaluating oral health status.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment while ensuring radiation safety protocols.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to enhance their dental health journey.
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (Dentrix), documenting all patient interactions, treatments, and medical information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Follow infection prevention protocols through aseptic techniques, sterilization procedures, and infection control standards to ensure patient safety.
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current credentials.
- Proven experience in dental care patient education, dental terminology, and use of dental equipment.
- Proficiency in EHR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
- Ability to perform dental x-ray procedures accurately while maintaining strict safety standards.
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance management and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.

Pay: $38.00 - $45.00 per hour
