Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic After School Sitter to provide attentive care for our 8th grade daughter during the 2026-2027 school year. Starting mid to late August. Our daughter has some mobility issues, where she needs help doing tasks but otherwise quite independent.
The ideal candidate is caring, fun with teenage girls, and good at 8th grade math and english! Looking for someone to make a positive impact in her life this year.
Duties
- Supervise 13 year old girl after school
- Assist with homework, math, reading, and educational games to promote learning and development
- Prepare snacks and dinner each day, heathy options
- Drive her to/ from therapies - PT/ OT
- Support and teach her to learn to be more independent in her daily life
- Maintain a clean and organized environment for the rooms you are in with her
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about daily activities and any concerns
Skills
- Proven experience in childcare, babysitting, nannying, or daycare settings
- Knowledge of first aid procedures and ability to respond calmly in emergencies
- Experience working with children of different ages, including middle school girls
- Familiarity with caring for children with disabilities or special needs
- Strong caregiving skills combined with patience, empathy, and positive communication
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining a lively and supportive attitude
- Excellent references demonstrating reliability and trustworthiness
