Job Summary
We are hiring a friendly and reliable Cashier / Customer Service Associate for our new coffee shop located in Villa Park, IL.
As the first point of contact for our customers, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and providing excellent customer service.
Prior experience in a coffee shop or restaurant is preferred, but not required — we are happy to train the right person with a positive attitude and strong communication skills.
Duties
- Greet customers and take orders at the counter/register
- Operate cash register and handle transactions accurately using POS system
- Provide exceptional customer service and handle customer inquiries or concerns
- Package and hand out orders for dine-in or take-out
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the front counter and customer area
- Assist with light stocking of front items and supplies
- Answer customer phone calls professionally
Skills
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Friendly, positive, and professional attitude
- Basic math skills and ability to operate POS systems
- Prior experience in a coffee shop or restaurant is a plus but not required
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player
