We are passionate about Big Island life. Our restaurant honors Hawaii's history and local foods with a menu that features a fusion of favorite foods from all the cultures in Hawaii's melting pot with delicious, fun twists in a relaxed, upbeat and inclusive space.
Our Hilo restaurant is looking to grow our BOH team with experienced Line Cooks - restaurant industry professionals who are positive, outgoing, and fun! We are looking for people excited about our mission and passionate about our values and guest service excellence. As a vital part of our restaurant, the ideal candidate will be someone who is friendly, reliable, quick, organized and can follow safety and sanitation standards.
Pay: TBD. Based on experience. This will be an hourly position. Pay is negotiable, we want our employees to thrive like our business.

Responsibilities:
- Complete opening and closing checklists, including daily and weekly cleaning tasks.
- Know our food menu, including possible allergens with the ability to relay it to servers & guests.
- Handle, store and rotate all products properly.
- Prepare food to specifications before and during service operations.
- Comply with all portion sizes, quality standards, Brewhaus rules, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure proper food temperatures are maintained and food is stored correctly.
- Perform opening, closing, and side work duties in accordance with company checklists and procedures.
- Keep workstation, coolers, and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked.
Qualifications
- Participation in a culinary program is a bonus.
- Food Safety Certification is a requirement.
- Ability to read and comprehend prep sheets and recipes.
- Basic math skills; ability to understand, calculate and follow recipe measurements and proportions.
Physical Requirements
- Manual dexterity sufficient to chop, mix, blend, whip a variety of foods and liquids.
- Ability to lift and carry large pans from ovens or freezers, weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to handle or operate kitchen equipment.
- Standing and walking for the entire length of shift.
- Frequently required to reach up to 6-7 feet, twist at the waist, bending and squatting
- Pushing and pulling occasionally, to move equipment, mops, and brooms.
- Kitchen environment – noise levels may be moderate-to-high.
- Work frequently in a hot and damp environment.
