Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties:
- Welcome and room patients efficiently.
- Obtain and document vital signs, height, weight, BMI, pain assessment, and chief complaint.
- Obtain and update medical, surgical, family, and social history.
- Perform medication reconciliation and allergy verification.
- Prepare patients for provider examinations and procedures.
- Assist providers during examinations and office procedures.
- Administer medications, immunizations, and injections as ordered.
- Perform EKGs, vision screening, hearing screening, spirometry, pulse oximetry, and other office-based testing.
- Collect blood, urine, throat, and other specimens according to office protocols.
- Perform point-of-care testing, including rapid strep, influenza, COVID-19, RSV, urinalysis, urine pregnancy testing, A1C, glucose, and other CLIA-waived tests.
- Perform wound care and dressing changes as directed.
- Monitor patients following treatments and injections.
Experience
- Minimum of one (1) year of clinical nursing experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) preferred; new graduates with strong clinical skills are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience in primary care, family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, or an outpatient medical office is preferred.
- Experience performing venipuncture (blood draws), specimen collection, injections, immunizations, EKGs, point-of-care testing, and medication administration is preferred.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), including documentation, medication reconciliation, and patient communication, is preferred.
- Experience with telephone triage, prescription refill requests, prior authorizations, referrals, and care coordination is desirable.
- Experience assisting with Annual Wellness Visits (AWVs), Chronic Care Management (CCM), Transitional Care Management (TCM), Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM), and quality improvement initiatives is a plus.
- Bilingual skills are welcomed and considered an asset but are not required.
Pay: $24.00 - $39.00 per hour
