Litigation Paralegal – Minchella Law
Minchella Law is seeking an experienced, full-time Litigation Paralegal to join our growing team. We are a boutique civil litigation firm handling a wide range of matters, including commercial, construction, employment, and other complex disputes, throughout New England and New York. This is not a high-volume personal injury practice, and the role is best suited for candidates interested in broader litigation experience.
In this position, you will:
- Draft pleadings, motions, and tailored discovery, including objections and applications for injunctive and prejudgment relief.
- Manage and organize case files, track deadlines, and summarize key documents.
- Communicate professionally with clients, counsel, courts, and other parties.
- Conduct factual and legal research and gather supporting documents.
- Assist with preparation for depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
- Use firm technology, including case management and approved AI tools.
- Maintain accurate and timely billing entries.
Success in this role requires the ability to follow direction, prioritize tasks effectively, and maintain a high level of organization. Within six months, the expectation is that you can work independently, produce high-quality work with minimal attorney revision, and maintain consistent billing discipline. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their responsibilities, exercises sound judgment in managing their workload, and collaborates effectively with the team.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a paralegal in a civil litigation-focused law firm, with direct experience performing some or all of the above responsibilities.
- Experience in commercial, business, and employment litigation is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Teams) and Adobe Acrobat DC.
- Experience with Clio or similar cloud-based practice management software is a strong plus.
Why Join Minchella Law?
This role offers hands-on, substantive work, including drafting motions and managing complex discovery. We are a small, collaborative team that values high-quality work, mutual respect, and a supportive environment where each team member’s contributions matter.
We offer generous compensation commensurate with experience that shows you meet the above requirements, including:
Medical, dental, vision, long-term disability and life insurance
401K
Generous PTO
Internal training and paid continuing education courses
The starting pay rate will be within the pay range but based on experience, with merit-based compensation growth.
