Position Overview
You will be assigned a specific company truck that you and only you will be driving. You are fully responsible for the safety, maintenance, and daily equipment of your assigned vehicle. This includes performing mandatory pre-trip and post-trip inspections, as well as inspecting all tools and working equipment daily before operational use.
Key Responsibilities
- Asset Recovery: Locate and recover collateral (vehicles, equipment, or other valuable assets) in strict accordance with local, state, and federal laws.
- Field Investigation & Skip Tracing: Conduct thorough field investigations and utilize cutting-edge technology, specialized databases, and advanced skip tracing techniques to track asset locations.
- Compliance & Coordination: Coordinate with law enforcement agencies, lienholders, and legal entities to ensure 100% legality and compliance in all repossession activities.
- Safe Operations: Safely and securely hook, lift, and transport assets while strictly adhering to all safety guidelines and maintaining professionalism in the field.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain highly accurate, detailed, and timely digital records of all daily activities, including recovery attempts, condition reports, and asset location updates.
- Professional Communication: Effectively communicate updates and handle inquiries with clients, lienholders, dispatch, and internal team members.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay current on changing industry regulations, repossession laws, trends, and operational best practices.
Job Requirements
- Experience: Proven experience as a Repossession Recovery Agent, Wheel-Lift/Flatbed Tow Operator, or a closely related role.
- Towing Skills: Strong, practical towing experience and mechanical aptitude.
- Legal & Regulatory Knowledge: Proficient understanding of regional repossession laws, regulations, and industry-standard compliance practices.
- Critical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to think quickly and adapt safely to fluid, changing situations.
- De-escalation & Composure: Ability to handle high-pressure situations, manage conflict, and maintain absolute composure during challenging field encounters.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally with clients, team members, bystanders, and law enforcement.
- Administrative Accuracy: Highly detail-oriented with a proven track record of accurate record-keeping and field documentation.
- Licensing & Driving: Valid driver's license with a clean, insurable driving record (MVR).
- Autonomy: Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision, while remaining a collaborative team player.
- Physical Demands: Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labor, heavy lifting, and tasks requiring physical exertion in various weather conditions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
