Join Our Team as a Project Estimator & Fence Sales Specialist
We're a well-established fence construction company that has proudly served our community for over 30 years. We specialize primarily in commercial fencing, with some residential work, and we're looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Project Estimator & Fence Sales Specialist to join our team.
If you're sharp, enjoy solving problems, can read blueprints, and like working with customers, we'd love to hear from you. This is a full-time, in-person position based at our office.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, site plans, and construction drawings
- Using plan centers to locate and bid commercial projects
- Preparing accurate, detailed estimates for commercial and residential fencing projects
- Pricing materials and labor for chain link, ornamental iron, wood, vinyl, and other fencing products
- Preparing and submitting project submittals in coordination with project managers
- Coordinating with project managers, clients, vendors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution
- Tracking bids and maintaining organized, up-to-date estimate records
- Walking job sites and conducting field measurements and take-offs as needed
- Assisting walk-in customers with selecting fencing materials, hardware, and accessories
- Answering incoming phone calls and providing knowledgeable sales support for fence materials and supplies
- Preparing quotes for retail customers and processing material orders
- Building strong customer relationships through friendly, professional service
What You Bring to the Table:
- Experience in construction estimating (fence industry experience is a plus)
- Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills
- Excellent math, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong computer skills, including Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Google Workspace
- Knowledge of fencing materials and installation methods (training provided for the right candidate)
- Sales or customer service experience with construction materials is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and a professional, customer-focused attitude
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- A valid driver's license (occasional site visits may be required)
- A motivated, dependable work ethic and willingness to learn

This is a full-time, on-site position. Remote or hybrid work is not available.

Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
