JOB TITLE: Equipment Logistics Technician
CONTRACT DURATION: 13 Weeks
LOCATION: Mayfield, Ohio
PAY: $18.00/hr
SHIFT: Onsite
2 options available:
-Wednesday-Saturday 6:00 am-4:30 pm
-Wednesday-Saturday 10:00 am-8:30 pm
ONBOARDING TIME: Expect 2–3 weeks between offer to start date
Job Description and Requirements:
The Equipment Logistics Technician is responsible for supporting the distribution, cleaning, inspection, recovery, and deployment of medical equipment throughout a healthcare environment. This role helps ensure critical patient care equipment is available, functioning properly, and delivered efficiently to support clinical operations.
The ideal candidate will have experience in hospital logistics, inventory management, equipment handling, or healthcare support services and be comfortable working in a physically active environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform targeted rounding in active patient care areas to recover equipment for cleaning, processing, and redistribution
· Clean, inspect, evaluate, and prepare medical equipment for patient use
· Deliver and retrieve equipment throughout the healthcare facility in a timely manner
· Support the distribution and management of equipment including infusion pumps, syringe pumps, feeding pumps, PCA pumps, DVT pumps, specialty beds, specialty carts, and durable medical equipment
· Document equipment activity and work performed within electronic tracking systems and databases
· Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
· Stock patient rooms and replenish supplies across units and departments
· Ensure equipment is functioning properly and identify equipment requiring repair or maintenance
· Maintain compliance with infection prevention, safety, and operational standards
· Support healthcare teams by ensuring equipment availability and readiness
· Assist with additional logistics, inventory, and equipment-related duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
· High School Diploma or GED required
· Ability to work a full-time onsite schedule
· Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills
· Ability to document activities accurately within electronic systems
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Ability to safely move and transport medical equipment, carts, and supplies
· Ability to lift, push, pull, and transport equipment weighing up to and exceeding 100 pounds
· Ability to remain mobile for extended periods of time
· Ability to operate computers and related equipment
· Ability to inspect, clean, maintain, and transport medical equipment
· Ability to distinguish colors and identify equipment components accurately
Preferred Qualifications:
· Hospital experience
· Logistics, inventory, warehouse, supply chain, or equipment management experience
· Experience working with medical equipment or healthcare operations
· Experience using electronic inventory or equipment tracking systems
Requirements (due at time of phone screen with recruiter):
· Resume with last seven years of work history if applicable - all work history gaps of 90+ days must be explained
· Upcoming requested time off for the duration of the contract
· Interview availability for the next 7–10 days
