Seeking an organized, and detail-oriented Account Manager I to join our team. TMS is a nonprofit organizational representative payee agency dedicated to supporting adults with developmental disabilities by providing professional Social Security Benefit management services that promote stability, independence, and peace of mind.
As an Account Manager I, you will manage a caseload of clients, ensuring their essential financial obligations are met while maintaining compliance with Social Security Administration (SSA) regulations. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others and values accuracy and accountability.
Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of Representative Payee clients.
- Prepare and issue payments for rent, utilities, board and care, and other approved expenses.
- Develop and maintain client budgets to ensure financial stability.
- Complete and submit required Social Security Administration documentation accurately and on time.
- Report changes in client circumstances to the Social Security Administration.
- Maintain accurate client financial records and documentation.
- Work collaboratively with Regional Center staff, service providers, family members, and other authorized contacts.
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
- Perform other accounting, administrative, and clerical duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum one year of related experience.
- Experience in representative payee services, bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and banking services preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while recognizing when to seek guidance.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Comfortable learning and applying Social Security Administration policies and regulations.
- Proficient with computers and able to learn new software systems.
