Tin Roost in North Liberty is hiring Cooks to join our kitchen team.

Tin Roost is a locally owned restaurant known for its scratch kitchen, extensive whiskey selection, rotating craft beer offerings, and welcoming atmosphere. With over 400 seats, private event spaces, and a large outdoor patio, our kitchen team plays a key role in creating memorable experiences for every Guest who walks through our doors.
Compensation for fully trained Cooks starts at $15-$22 per hour based on experience
Schedule: Full-time and part-time positions available. Open availability is preferred, with evening and weekend availability required.

What You'll Do
-
Prepare ingredients, sauces, and menu components according to recipes and kitchen standards

Set up and stock workstations before service

Cook menu items using a variety of cooking methods including grilling, sautéing, frying, and roasting

Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation standards are maintained

Follow all food safety, sanitation, labeling, and storage procedures

Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation throughout the shift

Assist with inventory organization, food rotation, and storage documentation

Communicate effectively with kitchen leadership and fellow team members during service

Support additional kitchen duties and projects as assigned
What We're Looking For

Must be 18 years of age or older
-
Previous line cook or kitchen experience preferred

Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Reliable transportation to and from work

Ability to stand and move throughout the duration of a shift

Must be able to regularly lift, carry, and move up to 40 pounds
