Join a Team Where Your Growth Matters
KCI's Managed Services Design and Installation team is growing, and we're looking for network engineers at every stage of their career — from hands-on installers ready to level up, to seasoned architects ready to lead. If you're passionate about enterprise networking and want to build deep expertise in the Fortinet ecosystem, this is the place to do it.
Whether you're early in your Fortinet journey or already leading complex deployments, we'll meet you where you are. We invest in our engineers with hands-on mentorship, real career progression, and the opportunity to work across the full Fortinet stack — not just tickets and templates.
What You'll Work With
Our core product centers around the Fortinet ecosystem, so you'll get deep, real-world exposure to:
- FortiGate Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW), FortiSwitches, and FortiAPs (FortiLink deployments)
- FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, and FortiCloud for centralized management and analytics
- Advanced routing, SD-WAN, and high-availability (HA) configurations
- Enterprise voice and data environments
What You'll Do
Responsibilities will scale with your experience level, and may include:
- Design & Deployment: Analyze customer network requirements and design, configure, and deploy firewalls, switches, and wireless access points that meet client needs
- Architecture & Strategy: Lead the high-level design of complex multi-tenant or enterprise-scale Fortinet environments, including SD-WAN topologies (senior level)
- Migrations: Support or own the planning and execution of legacy-to-Fortinet migrations with minimal downtime and seamless policy transitions
- Collaboration: Work directly with project managers, field technicians, and end-clients to ensure seamless installations
- Mentorship & Leadership: Provide technical guidance to junior team members and help shape standardized engineering workflows (senior level)
- Documentation & Process: Follow engineering guidelines for network design, documentation, and project communication
- Continuous Improvement: Bring a process-improvement mindset to how we design, deploy, and support client environments
What We're Looking For
We're hiring across levels — here's what matters most, regardless of where you land on the experience spectrum:
- An interest in enterprise networking and a drive to keep learning
- Hands-on experience with firewalls, routers, switches, or wireless access points
- A solid foundational understanding of network architecture and routing protocols (OSPF/BGP)
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Comfort working beyond standard business hours occasionally (evenings/weekends) to support operations and customer needs
For more senior candidates, we're especially interested in:
- Tier 2/3 experience with Fortinet, or equivalent enterprise networking experience
- Experience in telecommunications, networking, or managed services (MSP)
- A track record of leading design work, mentoring others, or owning strategic projects
Certifications such as CCNA, Fortinet NSE, or equivalent hands-on experience are required or highly preferred, depending on level — but if you have the aptitude and drive, we're willing to invest in closing any gaps.
Why KCI?
- Growth path, not a ceiling. Whether you're aiming to become a senior architect or specialize deep in Fortinet security, there's a path here.
- Meaningful work. You'll design and deploy infrastructure that real businesses depend on.
- Support for certifications. We want you Fortinet-certified, and we'll help you get there.
