Job Summary
Join our team of diversely skilled instructors and dedicated management! Familiarize yourself with our unique facility which uses swimming tanks and a current rather than a lap pool. Adapt to our program which is designed to work with each swimmer at their level, pushing them, and moving with them as they make progress. We are in need of instructors with a focus on Learn-to-Swim level lessons as well as Competitive Technique lessons.
Expectations (For Learn-to-Swim Level Lessons)
- You'll be planning lessons for each class.
- Showing up early enough to change and prepare for each class before it starts.
- Adjusting according to each students' needs.
- Monitoring your students' progress against our skill sheets.
- Reporting evaluations into Captyn for parents and guardians to view.
- Actively communicating with parents of their children's struggles and as they make advances.
- Each group class will be between 1 and 3 students per tank.
- Preparing for each class before it starts by gathering tools and toys and cleaning up before you leave.
Expectations (For Competitive Tech Lessons)
- You'll be giving specialized guidance towards improving proper swimmer technique.
- Showing up early enough to prepare for each class before it starts.
- Working alongside Dart Fish, recording lessons and retrieving swimming clips to demonstrate strokes, skills, and drills
- Communicating progress and recommendations for further practice with swimmers, parents, and guardians effectively.
- Reporting evaluations into Captyn for parents and guardians to view.
- Preparing for each class before it starts by gathering tools and toys and cleaning up before you leave.
Qualifications
- Experience as a swimmer
- Childcare experience
- Experience teaching swim lessons
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
