Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Execute food preparation tasks efficiently, maintaining consistency and quality in every plate
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation standards
- Assist with menu planning by suggesting ingredient substitutions or new ideas to enhance offerings
- Support catering events and special functions with timely meal preparation and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, ensuring compliance with health regulations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal service and ensure smooth kitchen operations
Experience
- Prior experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable
- Proven background in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining settings
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques
- Skilled in knife techniques, meal preparation, and general kitchen operations
- Familiarity with menu planning, catering, and serving processes within the food industry
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow directions accurately under pressure
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment that demands attention to detail and efficiency
