Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Grounds Maintenance professional to join our team dedicated to outdoor excellence. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive lawn care including mowing, edging, fertilizing, aerating, and weed control to maintain healthy turf.
- Conduct landscape maintenance tasks such as pruning, planting, mulching, and seasonal clean-up to uphold aesthetic standards.
- Manage irrigation systems by inspecting, repairing, and adjusting sprinklers to ensure optimal water distribution.
- Oversee hardscape elements including installation and repair of pathways, patios, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures.
- Supervise crew members on daily tasks related to grounds maintenance and landscaping projects across various locations.
- Operate groundskeeping equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to company policies.
- Identify plants, trees, and pests accurately to inform proper care strategies.
- Lead construction projects related to outdoor improvements or renovations.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations during all outdoor activities and equipment operation.
- Manage outdoor work schedules effectively to meet project deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
- Support team development through training in horticulture techniques and equipment use.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, plant inventories, and project progress.
Experience
- Proven experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping roles with a focus on lawn care and landscape upkeep.
- Demonstrated supervising or team management experience in outdoor settings.
- Strong knowledge of horticulture principles including plant identification and tree care.
- Hands-on experience operating landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and irrigation systems.
- Familiarity with hardscape construction projects and outdoor site improvements.
- Knowledge of irrigation management techniques for efficient water use.
- Background in gardening practices and general grounds maintenance procedures.
- Ability to lead crews effectively while ensuring safety standards are met.
- Outdoor work experience across different weather conditions is essential.
- Prior involvement in construction projects or similar outdoor development initiatives is advantageous.
