We are seeking an energetic and attentive Barback/Doorman to join our vibrant hospitality team. Duties
- Greet guests warmly as they arrive, providing a friendly and professional first impression
- Manage guest entry, verifying identification and ensuring adherence to venue policies
- Assist with crowd control and monitor guest behavior to promote safety and comfort
- Support bartenders by restocking supplies, cleaning glassware, and maintaining the bar area
- Handle light food preparation tasks and assist with food service when needed
- Perform cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, wiping down surfaces, and maintaining overall cleanliness of the venue
- Assist with heavy lifting such as moving furniture, supplies, or equipment safely using proper manual handling techniques
- Support catering and banquet events by bussing tables, setting up stations, and ensuring timely service
- Operate POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for cash handling and order processing
- Ensure compliance with food handling standards and health regulations at all times
Skills
- Proven experience in bar service or restaurant environments with strong knowledge of food industry standards
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and physical movement of supplies or furniture
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for cashiering and order management
- Previous experience in hospitality roles such as serving, catering, or banquet support is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience with food preparation, food handling, or kitchen work is a plus
- Knowledge of hotel or food industry operations enhances your ability to excel in this role
