The Lawton Family of Restaurants is a family-owned business with a reputation for warm hospitality, great food, and excellent service since 1973.
We are looking for a qualified landscape technician to join our team. The Landscape Technician position is outside of the scope of our normal restaurant operations, and requires a mature and self-managing individual with high integrity. Depending on abilities and qualifications, this can be a full-time or part-time job. A brief description follows.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-Interest and knowledge in horticulture and landscaping
-Love for plants, trees, and landscape design
-Experience in landscape maintenance
-Experience in our restaurants preferred
-Proven ability to be self-managing
-Good communication skills
-Reliable transportation required, truck preferred
-General repair, maintenance, and construction skills
-Some experience with plumbing, electrical and painting is a plus
-Highest standard for excellence and high integrity
-Legally eligible for employment in the U.S.
-Good taste and judgement
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Maintain all exterior landscaping at La Fonda, Mama’s, and occasionally assist at Cappy’s
-Cover plants in freezing weather
-Maintain irrigation systems
-Planting and replacing plants as necessary
-Some tree trimming and working with a professional tree trimmer
-Power-washing patio, sidewalks and roofs as required
-Maintenance and watering of all potted plants
-Leaf removal as necessary, including roofs
-Willingness to assist with additional miscellaneous restaurant projects as needed.
-Flexible availability and willingness to work odd hours including early mornings, and occasional nights and weekends
