Job Description: Optician/Sales Associate
We are a private practice optometry office in Mesa looking to fill a full-time Selling/Dispensing Optician position. The Mesa office hours are Monday through Friday 8:00AM to 5:30PM and Saturdays 10:00AM to 2:00PM. As an employee you would be scheduled anywhere from 36 - 40 hours a week dependent on the Doctor's schedule. COMPETITIVE PAY WITH BONUSES, COMMISSIONS AND BENEFITS OFFERED TO FULL TIME EMPLOYEES.
*Job duties include (but not limited to):
Likes to talk to people
Knowledge of contact lenses and the ability to teach insertion and removal
Solid background in spectacle lens designs
Strong optical skills to perform exceptional frame styling
Ability to educate patients on appropriate lens features to compliment their life style needs
Basic frame repair, maintenance and adjustments
Understanding of vision and medical insurances
Answering phones
Insurance authorization and verification
We are seeking an experienced team player with exceptional customer service skills and a strong work ethic. Someone who is responsible, a self starter, and dependable. Since we are a busy private practice, experience is required. Excellent computer skills, great attention to detail and superior customer service are necessary to provide exceptional eye care for our patients.
