Position Overview
The Warehouse Supervisor / Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures, and leading warehouse personnel to achieve productivity, safety, and quality objectives. This role serves as a key operational leader, coordinating workflow, delegating tasks, and ensuring all processes are completed efficiently and accurately.
Key Responsibilities

Review daily work assignments and distribute tasks to warehouse associates and temporary staff to meet operational goals.

Provide direct supervision and oversight of warehouse workflows to maintain efficiency and productivity.

Ensure all receiving and shipping activities are completed accurately and consistently.

Verify that required shipment documentation, records, and supporting materials are completed and maintained.

Ensure all outbound loads are properly secured and prepared for transport.

Verify inbound and outbound shipments, including inspection, documentation, and shipment security procedures.

Ensure weights, counts, and inventory records are accurately documented and submitted as required.

Monitor and enforce compliance with company procedures, safety regulations, and operational standards.

Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as needed.

Support employee onboarding and training efforts in coordination with management.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and communicate operational issues to management.

Perform additional duties as needed to support warehouse operations and business objectives.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervise warehouse associates and temporary staff.

Provide coaching, guidance, and daily support to team members.

Qualifications & Skills

Strong leadership, supervisory, and team-building abilities.

Knowledge of warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material handling.

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain operational oversight across staffing, inventory, shipping, receiving, and warehouse processes.

Commitment to workplace safety and operational excellence.

Forklift experience and/or certification preferred.

Proficiency with warehouse management systems and basic computer applications preferred.
