JOB DESCRIPTION: Maintenance Technician
DEPARTMENT: Maintenance
REPORTS TO: Production Manager
PAY RATE: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES:
- Perform overall maintenance and repair of equipment, tools and machinery for the company.
- Conduct troubleshooting and preventive maintenance services on all plant equipment and assist with facility maintenance.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain production and quality by ensuring operation of equipment, tools and machinery.
- Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
- Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting.
- Follow diagrams, sketches, operating manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications to perform required maintenance and service.
- Locate sources of problems by observing machinery in operation, listening for problems and using precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Perform and document inspections.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
- Coordinate with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 or more years experience in repair and maintenance at a CNC machine shop
- Experience with Limble (preventative maintenance software) is a plus
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while also being able to work as a team player
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects.
